These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Onexis Technologies, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company (“we,” “us”), for the Lotto Receipts app (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The short version
- The App is an unofficial ledger for your own lottery tickets. It is not connected to any lottery.
- It does not sell tickets, take bets, or pay prizes.
- Results, claim deadlines, and tax figures are for information only. Always check with the official lottery.
- You must be 18 or older. Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER.
- Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel in your Apple Account settings. Promotional codes we hand out never turn into paid subscriptions.
1. Not affiliated with any lottery
Lotto Receipts is an independent, unofficial app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the operators of Powerball or Mega Millions, the Multi-State Lottery Association, or any U.S. state lottery. Powerball and Mega Millions are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe the games.
2. No ticket sales or betting
The App does not sell lottery tickets, buy tickets for you, accept bets, or pay prizes. It is a personal record-keeping tool for tickets you bought yourself from an authorized retailer.
3. Information only — always verify
- Winning numbers, prize amounts, win status, and claim deadlines shown in the App are for reference only and may contain errors, omissions, or delays.
- Claim deadlines are based on the state where you bought the ticket (or your home state if you did not choose one). Rules can change. Confirm the deadline with that state’s lottery.
- Ticket scanning can misread numbers. Check the numbers before you save a ticket.
- Only the official lottery decides whether a ticket wins. Keep your paper ticket: you need the original to claim a prize.
- Alerts and reminders depend on your phone’s settings and may be delayed or not delivered. Do not rely on them as your only reminder.
4. Tax figures are estimates, not tax advice
The tax calculator and tax ledger use general withholding rules and estimated state rates. They are not tax, legal, or financial advice. Your actual taxes may differ. Talk to a qualified tax professional about your situation.
5. Age and responsible play
- You must be 18 or older to use the App. Some states set a higher minimum age to buy lottery tickets; follow the rules where you live.
- The monthly spending limit and alerts are tools to help you keep track. They do not stop you from buying tickets.
- If gambling is causing problems for you or someone you know, call 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537) for free, confidential help, 24 hours a day.
6. Plans, subscriptions, and payment
The App is free to use, with optional paid plans. Current prices (U.S.) are shown in the App and on the App Store before you buy:
| Plan | Billing | Free trial |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | $2.99 per month, or $19.99 per year | 1 month free for eligible new subscribers |
| Ultimate (includes everything in Pro) | $39.99 per year (annual only) | None |
- Apple In-App Purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- Free trial. The Pro free trial is offered by Apple to eligible new subscribers. When the trial ends, your subscription starts and you are charged the price you selected, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Manage or cancel in your iPhone’s Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Lotto Receipts, or in the App under More > Manage plan > Manage subscription. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Your records and free features stay after you cancel.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.
- Restore purchases. If you reinstall the App or get a new iPhone, go to More > Manage plan > Restore purchases while signed in to the same Apple Account.
- Fair use of scanning. Scanning limits for each plan are shown in the App. Unlimited scanning on Ultimate is for personal use only. Automated bulk uploads (for example, by script or program) and commercial use (for example, a retailer scanning tickets for customers) are not allowed. On every plan, scanning is limited to 20 scans per minute. We may limit scanning if these rules are broken.
- Price changes. If a price changes, Apple will notify you as required by its rules, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
7. Promotional codes
- From time to time we may give out promotional codes (for example, to creators who review the App). Codes are Apple offer codes and are redeemed through Apple, either in the App under More > Redeem code or in the App Store.
- Our promotional codes give a free Pro period (for example, 6 months) that does not renew. When it ends, you return to the Free plan automatically and are never charged. Your records stay. Apple shows the offer terms before you confirm.
- Codes are free, may be limited to new subscribers, can be used once per Apple Account, expire on the date set when they are issued, and may not be sold or traded.
8. Your data
Your tickets and settings are stored on your phone, as described in our Privacy Policy (https://onexistech.com/apps/lotto-receipts/privacy/). You are responsible for your phone and its backups. If you use Reset all data or delete the App, we cannot recover your records.
9. Acceptable use
Do not use the App for anything unlawful, interfere with its operation or our services, or copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell the App, except as the law allows.
10. License and ownership
We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions. We and our licensors own the App and its content. These Terms do not give you any rights to our names, logos, or trademarks.
11. Third-party services
The App uses outside services, including New York State open data (data.ny.gov) for winning numbers, official lottery websites, Apple for payments and promotional codes, RevenueCat for subscription management, and, only if you agree, Anthropic (Claude) for AI ticket reading. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them or for data they publish.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or always available.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from decisions based on information in the App, lost or discarded tickets, missed claim deadlines, missed or delayed alerts, or similar circumstances, or for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Some states do not allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.
14. Changes to the App and these Terms
We may update the App and these Terms. If we make important changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the App. Using the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Ending these Terms
You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 12, 13, and 16) continue after these Terms end.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.
17. Apple
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
- Apple is not responsible for any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property claims. We are responsible for those claims as described in these Terms.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
