Lotto Receipts (the “App”) is published by Onexis Technologies, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company (“we,” “us,” “our”). This policy explains what the App stores on your phone, what leaves your phone, why, how long it is kept, and how you can delete it.
The short version
- Your tickets, numbers, and settings are stored only on your phone. There is no account and no sign-in, and we do not keep your ticket records on any server.
- The App downloads official winning numbers from New York State’s open data website. That request contains no personal information.
- Subscriptions are handled by Apple and our subscription service provider RevenueCat, using an anonymous ID. RevenueCat never receives your tickets, numbers, or settings.
- Notifications are scheduled on your phone. We do not use push servers or notification tokens.
- No ads. No tracking. No analytics or crash-reporting tools. We do not sell or share your personal information.
1. Information stored only on your phone
The App saves the following in a database on your phone. It is not sent to us.
- Your tickets: game, numbers, drawing dates (including Multi-Draw), purchase date, the state where you bought the ticket, Power Play or multiplier, how the ticket was added, and any note you write (for example, the store where you bought it).
- Saved number sets and their options.
- Settings: your home state (state name only, used for tax estimates and claim-deadline reminders), city tax option, monthly spending limit, alert settings and quiet hours, theme, language, and app icon.
- Your AI reading choice (not chosen, agreed, or without AI).
- App status: your plan (Free, trial, Pro, or Ultimate) and, as reported by the App Store, trial or subscription end dates, whether your subscription renews, and whether a free period came from a promotional code; badges, daily streak dates, the month a spending-limit alert was sent, and similar counters.
- Safety copies of your saved data, so a damaged save can be recovered without losing your records.
- Downloaded winning numbers (public results), so the App can check tickets without an internet connection.
- Temporary files for share cards and the tax ledger, which your phone clears from its cache.
This information stays on your phone until you delete it, use Reset all data, or delete the App.
Notifications
If you turn on alerts (for example, Results reminder, Weekly report, Claim deadline alert, or Limit alert), the App schedules them on your phone. A notification may show amounts, game names, dates, or your state name, and may appear on your lock screen depending on your iPhone’s notification settings. The App asks for notification permission only when you turn an alert on. No notification data is sent to us or to any push service.
Camera and photos
- The App asks for camera or photo access only when you scan a ticket. If you say no, you can still add tickets with Enter manually.
- The App reads the numbers from the photo. Its copy of the photo is deleted right after reading, and also when you close the scan screen. If you choose a photo from your library, the original is not changed.
- Without AI reading, photos are read only on your phone.
2. Information that leaves your phone
Winning numbers
To check your tickets, the App downloads Powerball and Mega Millions results from New York State’s open data website (data.ny.gov). The App only requests public results and sends no personal or ticket information. Like any website, data.ny.gov may log your IP address and basic request details under its own policies.
Purchases and subscriptions (Apple and RevenueCat)
- Subscriptions and free trials are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes payment; we never see your payment card details. Apple’s privacy policy applies.
- We use RevenueCat, Inc. to confirm which plan your Apple ID has, and to restore and renew purchases. RevenueCat receives your purchase history (product, purchase and expiration dates, and App Store transaction details), an anonymous app user ID that RevenueCat creates (not linked to your name or email), and basic app and device information (such as app version and operating system).
- RevenueCat does not receive your tickets, numbers, notes, settings, or home state. We do not use RevenueCat for advertising or tracking.
- RevenueCat keeps this information under its own privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
Promotional codes
If you enter a promotional code (More > Redeem code), the code is sent only to Apple, which checks it and applies the offer to your Apple ID. We and RevenueCat do not receive the code itself.
AI ticket reading (optional, only with your consent)
Before the first AI reading, the App shows a consent screen. Nothing is sent unless you tap Agree. If you tap Use without AI, photos are read only on your phone, and you can always enter tickets by hand.
| Recipient | Anthropic (Claude), an AI reading service, through our reading server |
| What is sent | Only the part of the ticket photo that shows the numbers. The barcode is covered or cropped out first. |
| What is not sent | The barcode, the rest of the photo, your name, contact details, location, device information, or ticket notes. |
| Purpose | Reading your ticket numbers only. Never advertising, tracking, or training our own models. |
| Retention | Our server deletes the image as soon as the numbers are read and does not store it. Anthropic automatically deletes what it receives (the image and the reading result) within 30 days, and may keep it longer only if required by law or to enforce its usage policy. |
You can change your choice at any time under More > Other > AI reading.
Things you choose to share
Share cards (images), the tax ledger (PDF or CSV), and anything you copy go only where you send them with your iPhone’s share sheet or clipboard. We do not upload them. Share cards never include ticket photos or barcodes. When you use Import from Excel/CSV, the file is read on your phone and is not uploaded.
Websites
Links to official lottery websites (such as powerball.com and megamillions.com), data.ny.gov, and our own Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Support pages open in an in-app browser. Those sites’ own policies apply. Our pages use no cookies, analytics, or third-party fonts; our web host may keep standard access logs.
3. What we do not collect
- No account, name, email address, phone number, or mailing address (unless you email us).
- No location. You choose your state yourself.
- No contacts, microphone, advertising identifier (IDFA), or other device identifiers for tracking.
- No advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting software. The App does not ask to track you, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
4. How long information is kept
| Information | Where | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Tickets, settings, app status, safety copies | Your phone | Until you delete it, use Reset all data, or delete the App |
| Downloaded winning numbers | Your phone | Replaced when new results arrive |
| Share card and ledger files | Your phone’s cache | Until your phone clears its cache |
| Ticket photos (App’s copy) | Your phone | Deleted right after reading |
| AI reading image | Our server / Anthropic | Our server: deleted immediately. Anthropic: within 30 days (longer only if required by law or for policy enforcement) |
| Purchase history and anonymous ID | Apple, RevenueCat | Under their policies, for as long as needed to provide and verify your purchases |
| Emails you send us | Our support inbox | Until the matter is resolved, or sooner if you ask us to delete them |
5. How to delete your information
- In the App: More > Other > Reset all data deletes your tickets, settings, and safety copies from your phone and returns the App to its first-launch state. Downloaded winning numbers stay because they are public results.
- Delete the App: removing the App from your iPhone removes everything it stored on your phone.
- Subscription records: because there is no account, there is nothing to sign out of or delete in the App. If you would like the anonymous RevenueCat record linked to your purchases deleted, email us at support@onexistech.com and we will request deletion. Apple keeps its own purchase records under Apple’s policies.
- Emails: you can ask us to delete any emails you sent us.
6. Children
The App is intended for adults 18 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example, California and other U.S. states with privacy laws), you may have the right to know what personal information we have, to ask us to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling. To make a request, email support@onexistech.com. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
8. Security
All of the App’s internet connections use HTTPS. Information on your phone is protected by your iPhone’s own security, such as your passcode.
9. Where information is processed
We are based in the United States. Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase information in the United States and other countries under their own policies.
10. Changes to this policy
If we add features that change what leaves your phone (for example, sign-in, cloud backup, or push notifications), we will update this policy before those features are released and change the effective date above.
