Launch & Orbit — Privacy Policy

Launch & Orbit is made by Onexis Technologies, LLC (a Georgia limited liability company), 8735 Dunwoody Place, Ste N, Atlanta, GA 30350, USA. In this policy, “we” means Onexis Technologies, LLC.

1. The short version

  • You don’t need an account to play.
  • Your game progress stays on your device.
  • We use RevenueCat to manage purchases. It knows you only by a random ID.
  • We do not track you across other apps and websites.
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t show pop-up or video ads.

2. What stays on your device

This information is saved only on your device. We can’t see it.

Game progress, scores, level, rank, streaks and launches usedWhen you play
Pilot name and flagWhen you enter them in Settings
Home launch country, and the launch site, rocket and satellite you choseWhen you choose them
Names you add to a Party (these may be other people’s names)When you add them

Your settings, and weather and launch schedule data the app downloadedWhen you use the app

The app also reads your device model, memory, language and region to choose graphics quality, language and a suggested flag. It doesn’t save or send them.

3. What leaves your device

Purchases: RevenueCat

RevenueCat receives a random ID it creates for your device, your purchase history and App Store receipts, your device type and operating system, when you last used the app, and your language and currency settings. Like any internet service, it also sees your IP address when the app connects. RevenueCat works for us as a data processor and stores this data in the United States.

Payments and codes: Apple

Apple handles payments, subscriptions, refunds and access codes. We never see your card or your Apple account details. When you redeem a code, the app also checks that it can reach the App Store, and Apple sees your IP address.

Public data

The app downloads public information from these services. We send them nothing about you, but they see your IP address when your device connects, and they may log it under their own policies. We don’t receive it.

ServiceWhat it’s forWhat it receives
MET NorwayWeather for contract missionsThe position of a launch site (never your location)

When you email us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, so we can answer you.

4. Why we use it

  • To make purchases work: to check receipts, unlock what you bought and restore it.
  • To prevent fraud and to understand how purchases are doing overall.
  • To run game features that use live data.
  • To answer you when you contact us.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with the services below, only to run the app. We do not sell it.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety. If our business is sold or merged, this information may move with it, and this policy will still apply.

6. How long we keep it

  • On your device: until you delete it or delete the app.
  • RevenueCat: as long as needed to keep your purchases working and to meet tax, accounting and legal duties, under RevenueCat’s retention policy, or until you ask us to delete it.
  • Your emails to us: 24 months after the request is resolved.

7. How to delete your data

  • In the app: go to Settings › Data › Delete all my data. This erases your data on this device. It can’t be undone.
  • By email: write to support@onexistech.com and include your Support ID (Settings › Support › Support ID). We’ll ask RevenueCat to delete its records about that ID. The in-app button can’t do this part. We’ll reply within 30 days.
  • Good to know: deleting your data doesn’t cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your Apple ID settings. Purchases belong to your Apple account, so you can restore them later.
  • Deleting the app also erases everything saved on your device.

8. Device permissions and sensors

  • Notifications (optional): reminders are scheduled on your device. You can turn them off in the app or in iPhone Settings. They don’t go through a server.
  • Motion sensor: used for the depth effect on the home screen, only while that screen is showing. It isn’t saved or sent, and iPhone’s Reduce Motion setting turns it off.
  • Sharing: when you tap a share button, your iPhone’s share sheet opens and you decide where it goes.
  • Not used: location, camera, microphone, photos and contacts.

9. Tracking and advertising

We do not track you across other apps and websites. The app doesn’t use Apple’s advertising identifier and has no advertising or analytics tools. Rockets may carry logos, including our own, but showing a logo doesn’t send information about you to anyone.

10. Children

The app isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that we have information from a child under 13, we delete it. If you believe this has happened, please email us.

11. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

In the past 12 months we’ve collected these categories: identifiers (a random ID and IP address), commercial information (purchase history) and internet activity (connections to our services). We use them for the purposes in section 4.

  • We do not sell or share your personal information, as California law defines those words, and we don’t use sensitive personal information.
  • You have the right to know what we collect, to get a copy, to correct it and to delete it.
  • You can use these rights by emailing us, or through someone you authorize. We may need your Support ID to find your records.
  • We won’t treat you differently for using your rights.

12. Users in Europe and the UK (GDPR)

Onexis Technologies, LLC is the data controller. We use your information because it’s needed to provide what you asked for (purchases), and for our legitimate interests in running the app securely and preventing fraud. Where the law requires consent, we’ll ask first.

  • You have the right to access, correct, delete, limit or move your information, and to object to how we use it.
  • You can complain to your local data protection authority.

13. Transfers to other countries

We’re based in the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States and in the countries where the services above operate, which may have different privacy laws from yours. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

14. Security

We use encrypted connections, and we keep the information we hold to a minimum. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise absolute security. Your device’s own lock protects what’s saved on it.

15. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update it on this page and change the effective date. If a change is important, we’ll also tell you in the app before it takes effect.
